YOU WILL FIND PATIENCE, A VIRTUE The book is not perfect, as the believability factor is stressed pretty hard in some places. I was also turned off by some of the teasers. In the beginning we are told of this great find in the Arctic, but we can't tell you, you must see it. It takes several chapters and about an hour to get to this great find, all the time being teased about it. I thought the narrator was great.

WHEN IN DOUBT SHIT IT OUT If only school could have been this exciting. Number one priority for me is to be entertained. Number two is to hear or learn something I have never heard or learned before. Number three is for the story to be believable. By believable it is something that could happen, not necessarily something that would most likely happen. If everything you read was what would most likely happen then it would probably be boring. Brown scores five stars on all accounts. Arctic comes from the Greek, arktos, which means bear and Antarctic means no bear. Just one of those things I will always remember that I would not have remembered in a school setting. AIR FORCE ONE, BIG DICK Like most of Brown's books he hits the ground running. The entire book takes place in about two days. The book is very fast paced. It covers most of the sciences, Astronomy, geology, ocean, volcanoes, whirlpools, deep ocean, plate tectonics, ice cores, entomology, origin theories, bioluminescence, panspermia etc... Then there is all the politics and some things about the government you may not have known.

It was a lot of fun, and I applaud the research that must have been done before writing this book. I also felt the reader was only so-so. As I listened in my car, I heard the reader swallowing or breathing or something. It was creepy. But I did enjoy the plot. Story is 5 stars. Reader is 1 Star. This was a great story. The downside to this is the reader. The reader can be heard licking his lips alot and lots of heavy breathing. Very annoying especially if you listen with headphones. Great story but had to read it narrator is bad. Sherry S. Super book!! Listened to it on our 2000 mile drive across the US. He would be fine if someone had done their job in sound isolation but this is absolutely unbearable Shamir Nandy Great book! Lots of twists make for an easy and engaging listen. Noel I was hesitant to get this book due to some of the lukewarm reviews that it received. But I am a fan of Dan Brown and decided to give it a try anyway. I was not disappointed. The ending had a twist that I wasn't expecting - I thought I had it figured out, but was wrong and surprised. Jim Sinclair This was a great story that kept me going throughout the whole thing. I am glad I had this on audio, burnt onto CDs I could use in the car - if I had it in paperback, I would have lost sleep because this would have been one I could not put down. It made me look forward to my next drive! Lots of action and intrigue. It would make a good movie, but we all know the book is always better, right? ;) Anonymous I thought the story moved along at a good pace. Some things were pretty predictable--convenient rescues, etc. I basically knew who would die, who would live, who were the bad guys, etc., but there were definitely some surprises.
